We continue to offer workshops, hosted by expert coaches outside our walls here at MVMT42. This time we wanted to focus on something new, Yoga.
Yoga increases mobility, range of motion and balance. It is also a way to achieving a leaner, more toned and streamlined body. It encourages deeper breathing, helping students and athletes to learn how to breathe deeply into their diaphragm, increasing the ability to produce more power and to sustain movements for longer periods.
We asked Gemma to put together a some information together for September 23rd. The price will be £20 for members, £40 for non members. Note, the CrossFit room will be closed during this time.
"I will guide you through a dynamic and energetic Vinyasa Flow Yoga (Vinyasa means breath synchronised movement) class on Saturday 23 September with the aim of giving you the “yoga buzz” after class! We will begin by connecting into the breath, observing how you feel. We will then perform several sets of sun salutations designed to make your spinal column move in all directions in order to warm and invigorate the body before the postures. I will then guide you through a series of standing, balance, inversion and seated postures in a sequence to have maximum impact and to balance your muscles as well as your hormonal and nervous systems.
Knowing how to relax is a vital part of keeping fit. I will guide you through a short relaxation (known as shavasana) allowing the energy created during the practice to flow freely through the body and make your day more enjoyable."
